October 3,10,17,24, 3pm-6pm: Garden Tales Farmers Market. Fresh, local produce and more! Watertown Public Library parking lot. Every Thursday through October 24th.

October 4 & 5: Vintage Shop Hop. October 5, 3pm-7pm: Katherine Holle House 1 Year Celebration. Live music by Marcus Klein (from 5-7 pm), food, fun, prizes, tours. 119 N. Church St.

October 5, 6pm: Lathefest VI- Rocking for a Reason. Brought to you by the Watertown Challenge Association at the Watertown Elks Lodge. Open to the public. $5 cover – all proceeds from the door will go to three Watertown charities; Sandwiches in the Park, Mary’s Room, and the Thane Schwantes Memorial Scholarship. Doors open at 6, the band plays around 7. Have some fun, enjoy some beverages, listen to Lathe rock out in a historic former opera house, and raise some money for three really good causes. October 5, 5:30pm: Rock River Rescue Banquet. Doors open at 5:30, dinner at 7:00. Great food, many raffle items, live auction, silent auction, games, gun raffle and their famous wheelbarrow full of booze. Please support the conservation organization found right in your backyard. October 11, 12, 18-19, 7pm-Oct 20, 2pm: The Watertown Players Present “Little Shop of Horrors.” Classic musical comedy about a meek flower shop assistant and his increasingly bloodthirsty plant. Tickets available online at Brownpapertickets.com or at Watertown’s Piggly Wiggly supermarket. Ticket prices will be $12.00 in advance or $16.00 at the door. Seating is limited. October 11, 5pm-8pm: Art on Main Banner Auction. The 38 custom art banners that have added so much color and vibrancy to downtown Watertown this summer will be auctioned off on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Watertown Elks Lodge to support next year’s Art on Main program. The evening will begin with a special banner preview party from 5-6 p.m. where refreshments will be served and guests can enter into a drawing to win a number of raffle prizes donated by Watertown merchants. The auction will start at 6 p.m. Watertown Elks Lodge, 117 N. 1st St.

October 19, 6:30pm-9:30pm: Parent Music Club Lite Nite Hike and Freaky Forest. Join Parent Music club for a candlelight hike and take a stroll (at your own risk!) in the Freaky Forest. Location: Brandt/Quirk Park, near the baseball fields.

  • Time: walk opens 6:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Cost: $3 children (not going through the Freaky Forest) and $5 for adults and anyone going through Freaky Forest: includes access to trails, live music throughout the hike, trick-or-treat stations (feel free to wear costumes!).

October 25, 5pm-8pm: Witches Brew Vendor Event at Berres Brothers Café. Get ready! A fun night of drinking Witches Brew (coffee) and doing some shopping with some amazing vendors. Follow the event on facebook for details and registration. 202 Air Park Dr.

October 26, 10am-3pm: Pumpkin Palooza. Come downtown for a family-friendly day filled with sidewalk games, crafts, spooky photo fun, store specials and more! Activities run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., with the very popular Main Street Trick-or-Treat set for 1-3 p.m. at participating businesses. www.watertownmainstreet.org.

October 27, 1pm-4pm: Watertown city-wide Trick or Treat. Costume parade starting downtown at 4 p.m.
