It’s no secret I love this time of year. I enjoy it so much that I pour myself into two Watertown events, Jingle Bell on the Rock, and Watertown Window Wonderland. Both are dripping with holiday charm and bring me the greatest joy. When I had an opportunity to visit Glacier Rock Farms for their Enchanted Christmas, I was elated! I highly recommend a visit. Here’s my journey through the farm.
Welcome to An Enchanted Christmas
After parking on the property, you’ll head to the general store to purchase your ticket (or redeem your ticket if purchased in advance. More on that later). The exterior of the store includes an adorable sitting area, complete with fire pit for s’mores roasting. A photo opportunity sits in the corner. Inside you’ll find more beautiful displays that act as photo backdrops. The store also provides an opportunity to purchase a hot drink from their hot cocoa bar (go crazy on toppings!), do a holiday craft, or decorate sugar cookies. Concession items are also available for purchase.
All the animals!
Glacier Rock transforms over the holiday season, but a farm is a farm, and the farm animals are a major highlight. The general store leads you straight into their stables. Enjoy a few pats on their heads, or purchase a bag of feed in the store to feed the hungry guys and gals. I promise, they are always looking for a treat! The sheep were located outside on our visit, so save some feed.

Lights, lights, and more lights
After exiting the barn, we headed into one of several tunnels of lights. So cool. This took us to a maze, where we had to find our way out, all while looking for Santa’s reindeer. It’s fun for all ages.
After the activity, we headed towards more lights. You can’t miss them. They are EVERYWHERE. We enjoyed tunnels of light displays, static light displays, and even light shows set to music along the way. I was definitely in the holiday spirit.
Train to Kids Town
Glacier Rock Farms offers a train ride experience as part of admission. When you purchase your tickets, they’ll give you a commemorative Polar Express ticket and bell, exactly like the movie. They’re keepsakes for guests to take home. Board the train and enjoy a 5-10 minute ride to Kids Town, enjoying more fun sites of lights and farm life. You’ll arrive at a quaint building where you can warm up and take photos of their beautiful displays. Once outside, the area provides another light show set to music, and several creative displays. Santa is only steps away in his cottage. Enter the building and walk through a path of beautifully decorated Christmas trees. Walk to the end, where you’ll find Santa himself. If there’s a line, a large warming tent is nearby, including another opportunity to warm up next to the fire.

The farm is yours
Once you purchase your tickets, the farm is yours to explore. Revisit your favorite spots, take lots of photos, and enjoy the event at your pace. My family moved pretty quickly, and it took us 90 minutes to see the full experience. If we didn’t have another commitment, we would have spent more time at each feature and possibly doubled back on some.
Tickets and information
An Enchanted Christmas at Glacier Rock Farms is open 5-9pm, Friday and Saturday evenings through December 21, 2024. Tickets are $15 each, ages two and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the farm at the time of your visit, and I understand a pre-purchase will be available on their website in the future. Dress warm, charge your phones for photos, and enjoy a memorable evening.
