If you’re looking for a refreshing, casual dining spot for lunch, check out The Bistro! I recently enjoyed an impromptu business lunch in their bustling café.
Atmosphere
The restaurant is located inside the Town Centre of The Marquardt. Upon entering the building, The Bistro is only steps away. We couldn’t miss it with a sandwich board outside the entrance promoting the daily specials – not to mention the tantalizing aromas. The doors to the restaurant led us to the dining area of the space. We walked a little further and around a partition to find a food counter. We must have looked a little confused because a friendly staff member explained to us that we should order our food and pay at the counter and then find a table of our choice where they would bring our meal.

Food
The Bistro has daily specials and a full menu that includes breakfast items. I follow the restaurant on social media, and noticed their specials are different each week.
Prime rib sandwich with mushrooms, onions, and horseradish.
We quickly browsed through our options before my lunch companion and I both decided on the daily special, creamy ham and pea tortellini with a side of garlic bread. It was a dreary day and some comfort food would hit just right. After choosing a table and talking a little business, our meals arrived looking as fresh as spring. The tortellini was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very flavorful, complimenting the ham and peas. It was a very enjoyable meal. We both agreed that the garlic bread was out of this world and a star of the dish. The portion sizes were just right. I couldn’t quite finish, but there wasn’t enough to take home.

Service
The Marquardt is fortunate to have such enthusiastic and friendly staff members. Once our meals were finished, a staff member quickly cleared our table and wished us a great day. We spoke to several staff members during our visit, and we were impressed with their knowledge, professionalism, and friendly demeanor. I look forward to a return visit!
